Create a Primary Suite That Works for You
Your primary suite should be more than just a place to sleep. It’s where your day begins and ends, so having an organized bedroom, bathroom, and closet can make everyday routines feel a little easier.
Whether your primary suite needs a complete reset or just a few small changes, you don’t have to tackle everything at once. Start with one space, make decisions about what you actually use, and create storage that makes it easy to put things away.

Start with Your Closet
A well-organized closet can make getting dressed much easier. One of our favorite ways to create order is to organize clothing by type and then by color.
For example, you might group:
Short-sleeve shirts
Long-sleeve shirts
Sweaters
Pants
Dresses
Jackets
Within each category, arrange clothing from light to dark or by the colors you wear most often. This makes it much easier to find what you're looking for and can also help you notice when you have more of something than you really need.

Product Spotlight: Thin Hangers
If your closet is feeling crowded, switching to thin hangers can make a surprisingly big difference. Their slimmer profile allows you to fit more clothing into the same amount of hanging space while keeping everything looking consistent.
We especially like them when we're working on closets because they help maximize available space without requiring a larger closet or additional furniture.
Just remember, more hanging space isn't a reason to keep things you no longer wear. Edit first, then make the most of the space you have!

Make Your Primary Bathroom Easier to Use
Primary bathrooms can quickly become home to an assortment of toiletries, hair products, makeup, medications, and other everyday essentials.
Clear storage containers can help bring some order to the chaos because you can see what's inside without having to open every container or dig through a drawer.
Use clear bins or containers to group similar items together, such as:
Hair care products
Skincare
Makeup
Travel-size toiletries
First-aid supplies
Extra personal care products
The key is to choose containers that fit the space you have. Measure your drawers, cabinets, and shelves before purchasing storage products so you aren't left with containers that don't work in the space.

Product Spotlight: Clear Storage Solutions
Clear storage is especially helpful in a primary bathroom and closet because it allows you to see what you have at a glance.
In a bathroom, clear bins can keep products contained while making it easy to grab what you need. In a closet, clear boxes can work well for accessories, shoes, seasonal items, or other things that aren't used every day.
Clear storage doesn't have to mean everything is perfectly matched. The goal is simply to make your belongings easier to see, access, and put away.
Don't Forget the Nightstands
Nightstands are small, but they can collect a surprising amount of clutter.
Take a few minutes to remove anything that doesn't belong there. Put away books you've finished, return cups and dishes to the kitchen, toss old receipts, and find a home for chargers, medications, and other loose items.
Then consider what you actually want within arm's reach at night. Keeping only the essentials on your nightstand can make the entire bedroom feel calmer.
