Make Room for Calm in your Bathroom this November

Organizing Focus: Bathrooms
Bathrooms may be small, but they hold a surprising amount of stuff. From the primary bathroom to the kids’ bath to the guest powder room, these spaces often become a landing zone for half-empty bottles, expired makeup, and “just in case” products.
This month, we encourage you to:
Keep only the products you actually use every day
Store extras in a labeled bin so you don’t accidentally buy duplicates
Give each family member their own caddy, basket, or drawer to cut down on clutter
A little order in the bathroom can make mornings run smoother and keep guests feeling welcome during the holiday season.

Declutter Challenge: Out With the Old
Take 15 minutes this week to sort through:
Expired medications (dispose of them safely, most pharmacies have a drop box)
Dried-up nail polish, old lotions, or makeup that’s past its prime
Stretched-out hair ties or brushes that have seen better days
Clear the shelf space for the things you actually love and use.

Community Connection: Habitat for Humanity Restore – Lafayette
This month, we’re highlighting Habitat for Humanity Restore in Lafayette. The ReStore accepts donations of gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, and home goods, then resells them to support Habitat’s mission of building affordable housing. It’s a wonderful way to declutter while giving back to the community.
